About John Moran

The charity was set up in memory of John Moran who died aged forty nine on the ninth of January 2001.

A successful businessman and loving father, John was a man of integrity who believed in social inclusion. Although he moved away from the Merseyside area he did not forget his roots or the benefits that higher education had brought him.

His friends and family felt, therefore, that a charity which facilitated the higher education of those on Merseyside, who might be discouraged by financial circumstances from benefiting, would prove a fitting memorial.
