Trustees

The trust has five trustees: Catherine Moran (John's widow), Rachael and Sarah Moran (John's daughters), Tony Holden (John's friend and colleague) and Josie Mullen (a close family friend)

Catherine Moran

Catherine Moran was educated in Crosby. She taught for both Lancashire and Liverpool Education Authorities before training as a Probation Officer and working in Warrington. After having a family and moving to Yorkshire she returned to teaching. Following a move to Bedfordshre she taught in Prison Education and worked with the homeless. She was married to John Moran, the inspiration for this charity, for twenty five years and they have two daughters. At the present time she is involved in the design and creation of a three acre garden.

Josie Mullen

Josie Mullen is a Liberal Democrat Councillor for Broadgreen, Liverpool. She has previously served as chair of Education, Libraries and Sport for Liverpool City Council.

She has extensive teaching experience with eight years teaching English as a foreign language in Italy.Her teaching in England included twelve years at Tiber Street Junior School, Liverpool where she had special responsibility for assessment, record keeping and English.

Josie is an educational consultant working on a variety of projects in both the primary and secondary sectors of education.

Tony Holden

Tony spent most of his working life in the Computer and High Technology sector, with positions of marketing Director, CEO, and Executive Chairman of various operating groups, culminating with the position as a Vice- President of Xerox Corporation, before taking early retirement from corporate life in 1998.

Resident in Hampshire he now has an executive directorship of Worktrend Limited, a technical search and human resource outsourcing company, and additional non-executive directorships. As well as serving as a trustee for this charity he is also a director and trustee of St. Michael’s Hospice, North Hampshire.

He is married with two grown up children, plays golf (badly), gardens, and travels.

Rachael and Sarah Moran

Rachael & Sarah were educated at schools in Bedfordshire and both went on to study at University. Rachael completed her degree in '99 at The University Of Central England in Birmingham and is currently working in a Sales Support Role at a large Sales and Marketing Organisation. Sarah graduated this year from Coventry University, and is now working in the Human Resources department of a large company.

Both have thoroughly enjoyed their time at University and have benefited greatly from the skills and experiences they developed there, both personally and professionally. Both girls are glad to be given the opportunity to help others experience the benefits of higher education.
